That's ok! Our Uyghur language classes will be game focused and more of an opportunity for them to learn and use Uyghur words and phrases rather than detailed learning. We recommend your child join us for our Uyghur Program during the year if you would like them to learn fully!
-
Yes! We encourage parents to pack their children at least 1 - 2 snacks and a lunch. You may also opt-in to our lunch package ($50 flat fee for the week), and we will provide Uyghur food for your child for lunch.
Activity Details
Field Trips!
Every Monday and Friday, we will explore a new museum, park or educational event! Look out for an announcement on where we will be going.
Uyghur & Religion Classes
Less by-the-book, and more fun in the classroom! Students will focus on using Uyghurche through interactive activities & games and during Religion class, will be learning about Islamic stories.
Outdoor Activities
It’s summer and it’s hot! We will be playing light water activities and some exciting (and messy) science experiments outside so we recommend students to bring an extra change of clothes to be safe!
Tutoring
Need to catch up on work for the new school year? We will be offering tutoring sessions to help students improve in one or two subject matters - giving them an opportunity to bring in summer work or use one of our tutoring books!
Indoor Activities
What is summer camp without some fun team-building games and arts and crafts?
Summer Reading
Partnering with the Fairfax County Summer Reading Program, we will be offering students an opportunity to complete their reading logs with us! Bring your books, or let us know what books you need!
